SSDs are solid-state drives that run on flash memory and semiconductors. They have no moving parts, so they are faster, more durable, but more expensive to manufacture.
SSHD is a hybrid version. Part of the SSD is used as a cache, and the data is stored on a movable disk.

Capacity is one of the most important parameters. Used hard drives can be purchased from 80 GB to 6 TB. This figure indicates how much information the disk can hold.
The speed of an HDD drive depends on the rotation of the disk itself (rpm), and for SSDs, it depends on the read/write speed in MB/s. The higher the speed, the higher the price.
Interfaces: IDE or SATA. The numbers after the SATA name indicate the generation. The cable connects the disk to the motherboard. Before buying, you should find out which standard your PC supports.
The dimensions are indicated in inches. The standard hard drive for PCs is 3.5 inches, for netbooks - 1.8 inches.
The size of the buffer (cache) - from 16 to 128 MB - affects the speed of access to frequently used data.
Hard drives can be internal or external, connected via a USB port.
